Hi Craig,
You really over deliver, both in your website and everything you do! I was not expecting to receive a personal answer from you! Thank you so much.
I am starting my business, and what I need right now is to start having clients so that I can have proof elements. I have to take "massive" action!
While having testimonials is solid proof and extremely effective, if you don’t have any (because you don’t yet have any clients) there are many other ways you can offer proof.
Do you homework, both online and at your local library.
- Dig up articles published Hypnosis Journals
- Find articles and abstracts on effectiveness of hypnosis in well know Medical Journals
- Use PubMed and search on keyword Hypnosis
- Find stories in well known news publications about hypnosis, such as the USA Today, Newsweek, or CNN
- Find success stories by famous celebrities who have used hypnosis such as Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
- Set up Google Alerts to notify you of new stories about hypnosis and hypnotherapy
- Consult the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) for material
You can also cite well known sources and authority figures. I do this often in my articles and also in my copywriting for clients. I use quotation web sites, books of quotes, and also my own private collection of quotations.
If you pay attention to my newsletters, you’ll notice I use quotes from people I consider mentors such as Gary Halbert. Like this one:
– Gary Halbert
If Gary said it, and he’s one of the greatest marketing minds of the last 100 years (he is), it’s proof of my claim.
Another of my mentors is Gary Bencivenga (world’s greatest copywriter). Here I’m quoting him on the importance of using proof in your marketing:
– Gary Bencivenga
There is a wealth of proof out there. You just need to go get it and use it in your copy.
